Pokemon Smile Version

Notice that BootSkin needs to be installed on the same drive as Windows (boot.ini is used to find Windows). As an alternative, you can use Windows Recovery Console, to ensure the install is properly done; it will load WinPE, which will let you install BootSkin (and any other boot manager) directly.
BootMenu Screen

This is the default boot screen, and the only one that can be used directly from Windows (it is the one that boots into the latest Windows install), or if BootSkin or a boot manager is used. It is NOT the same as the System Properties screen.
This screen may be animated, or it may just display a static image. The “Setup” option starts Windows in Safe Mode. The “Exit” option always returns you to Windows. The “Recovery” option automatically reloads the last Windows install (used to boot the system), or from a previous saved boot image (like a CD) or network, or from the last known good boot image. Use of the “Recovery” option is subject to the definition of “last known good” on your system.
Warning: If you replace the default “BootMenu” boot screen, it will NOT work with Windows Vista / Windows 7; you must have BootSkin installed. If you have BootSkin installed, BootMenu WILL work with Vista and Windows 7, and also with Windows XP / 2000 / ME; you just need to use the “BootDefault” boot screen.
BootStart Screen

This is the screen that is shown when you boot into Windows and you have not set a boot manager. It is VERY customizable.
Note that you must have BootSkin installed for this screen to work.
BootDefault Screen

This is the screen that is shown when you boot into Windows without having set a boot manager. It is VERY customizable.
Note that you must have BootSkin installed for this screen to work.
Note: BootSkin (or BootDefault) has no effect on whether you see the default Vista or Windows 7 boot screen. Use of BootDefault also does not put a countdown timer before you see the default boot screen.

Enjoy!
This is NOT my BootSkin. It’s all my own work.

This is the bootloader.

There are a few things that I’m still missing, and would like to add:

Unfortunately, there is no way to set the screen to be an animated intro, or to make eea19f52d2

You can use MacOSX Sounds in Windows, but you need to install it. MacOSX Sounds is a small, free set of 20 audio files that you can add to Windows XP. The files are compressed and encoded in mp3 format, which makes them easy to add to your MP3 player.

It works by adding and replacing sound files associated with some system events. With the inclusion of sound, your PC will sound like a Mac!
